Painting/Drawing Studio: Intermediate and Advanced9:00am - 12:00pm (#8221A,) and 12pm - 3pm (#8221B)
For students with previous painting/drawing experience, to further investigate traditional skills, color theory, brushwork, composition, glazing, mixed media, & photo transfers. Use oil or acrylic and or all drawing media while developing your own style. Class size is limited

Advanced Photoshop (#8217)9:30am - 12:30pm
Take the next step in Digital Photography. This class will involve many more Photoshop tricks and techniques and more shooting with a digital camera. Experience with digital photography and basic Photoshop required.

Life Drawing Made Easy for All Levels (#8218)9:30am -12:00pm
Discover how to draw the human form from live models. Explore gesture, anatomy, line, and tone using a variety of drawing tools. Each class will include quick gesture and longer poses and is great for beginners or those who have been away from the drawing board for a while. Includes weekly live model fee.

Use the language of form, color and line to create art with varying degrees of independence from visual references in the world. Since abstraction exists along a continuum we will explore and develop art ranging from partially abstracted to totally non-objective. Class focuses on exploration and personal discovery and includes co-operative group processing.

Fall Plein Aire Landscape Painting at Heller Nature Center (#8223)10:00am - 12:30pm
Enjoy painting the beautiful Fall landscapes at HP Park District’s “Heller Nature Center”. In inclement weather we’ll paint in a beautifully lit studio with floor to ceiling windows. Many different ways to approach landscape painting will be discussed.

Multi-Level Jewelry and Metalsmithing (#8225)1:00pm - 4:00pm
Acquire and refine skills in metal by drawing upon the expertise of the instructor. Sawing, soldering, finishing, stone setting, forming, construction, color on metal techniques. Also work with glass on metal, firing opaque and transparent colors on copper or silver, silver foils and overglazes. FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS.

10 Week Class: Sept. 14th - Nov. 16th
Did you just get your camera? Don’t know anything about it? Just bring your digital camera that has a manual setting that can adjust the shutter speed, lens aperture/ f-stop and ISO. It doesn’t matter if it is point and shoot or has interchangeable lens. Come for the fun and learn how to use your digital camera artfully in a friendly setting.
