The classical techniques used will focus on perspective, composition and proportion. Students will learn value, line, form and texture. Drawing will be taught using a variety of materials including: charcoal, conte, graphite, brush and pen with ink. Students will work from a still life set up for particular lessons in this class. Students will develop a means of personal expression and experience the fascination of developing a drawing on a blank page. There will be open discussion, dialogue and critiques. A suggested supply list will be available. |

 | Learn to make ceramic tiles that you can decorate your room with or give as gifts. Students will use a slab roller, learn different decorative surface techniques, learn to make and use press molds. Students will glaze their own tiles for individual final projects. Tiles will be fired in the electric kiln. |
